Yesterday while I was driving my belt drive snapped!!! Lucky for me I had just left the highway, but it was on a very busy three lane through-road and it happened right on the main crossing...! It was dangerous, I can tell you that! But I'm still alive and well. And I wonder, how the hell can this happen???? I drive a 1991 Savage with only 29000 K on it (since the year I own it I've put about 10000 on it), and the belt is supposed to last 80000 K..... Faulty make? To many years of operation? Hmmm... I wonder.
Anyway, ride safe you all, and check your belt once now and then coz this wasn't a nice surprise...
